Retention of Data

Tax Optimiser will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Specifically, we are required by HMRC to retain records related to your tax submissions for a minimum of 5 years after the 31st January submission deadline for the relevant tax year. After this period, your tax submission data will be securely deleted.

Account data (such as your email address and name) will be retained for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, this data will be deleted or anonymised in accordance with our data retention schedule, unless it is part of a tax record we are legally obliged to keep.

Tax Optimiser will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Transfer Of Data
